Material Controller

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Material Controller to join its construction team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for managing material flows on large‑scale oil and gas brown‑field projects, ensuring that all supplies meet local and international standards while supporting project timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control the procurement, receipt, storage and issue of materials for construction sites.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to guarantee timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local and international standards and project specifications.
• Generate regular reports on material usage, costs and stock levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in materials management on large oil & gas projects.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
