Material Data Specialist

About the role

The Material Data Specialist will be responsible for creating, maintaining and standardising material master data across multiple ERP systems (SAP and Oracle) as well as MES and PLM platforms. Acting as the central point of contact between IT, production and engineering, you will ensure accurate data flows that support efficient manufacturing and supply‑chain operations in our Dubai facility.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain material master records, bills of materials and related data in SAP, Oracle, MES and PLM systems.
• Implement engineering change notices (ECN) and participate in change review boards (CRB/CIB), updating procurement and production records accordingly.
• Define and enforce global master‑data standards, templates and data dictionaries for end‑to‑end supply‑chain processes.
• Own the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) framework, setting part parameters to enable reliable MRP, capacity planning and system integration.
• Collaborate with PLM Principal Engineers to align PLM‑ERP data strategy and maintain clear system‑of‑record boundaries.
• Approve master‑data definition changes, maintain change logs and conduct impact assessments.
• Develop training material and documentation for global and local users and support master‑data governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in material master data management within manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise between IT, engineering and production teams.
