Material Handler Specialist – Foreman

About the role

The Material Handler Specialist – Foreman will coordinate yard operations, supervise equipment use and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This role supports riggers and logistics staff in off‑loading, packing and data‑entry tasks within DSV’s Abu Dhabi facility.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned tasks according to plan and priorities.
• Ensure adequate manpower and resources for operations.
• Supervise the use of machinery such as cranes and forklifts and equipment like gears and lashing belts.
• Monitor daily operations and report updates to the supervisor.
• Escalate issues promptly and ensure public safety and security.
• Oversee riggers during off‑loading, packing, bundling and picking activities.
• Support system‑related tasks including HSE reports, weekly reports and data entry.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in yard operations.
• Basic spoken and written English.
• Strong time‑management and coordination abilities.
• Safety awareness and knowledge of RFID scanners.
