Material Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Material Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will be responsible for testing and verifying that all incoming and on‑site materials meet project specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all material tests and sampling activities on site.
• Witness laboratory and in‑situ tests performed by contractors or third‑party testers.
• Prepare samples for testing and coordinate with the Work Inspector to confirm testing approvals.
• Conduct rapid sampling and testing to avoid delays to contractor operations.
• Perform regular checks of delivered materials for conformance with approved sources.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Assist senior work inspectors and senior materials engineers in review, approval, testing, and acceptance of materials.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Civil Engineering degree with 5 years on roads, bridges, concrete, and utilities projects.
• Ability to read and interpret working drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and method statements.
• Strong computer literacy for data access, record‑keeping, and report generation.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
