Materials Inspector – Roads & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Materials Inspector for major roads, infrastructure and bridge projects in Dubai. The role combines site inspection and supervision to ensure all works are executed in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions prior to construction and verify compatibility with the designed permanent works.
• Review and document delivered materials for conformance with approved samples and ensure proper storage.
• Inspect construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved shop drawings and submittals.
• Prepare daily logs and reports, maintaining records of inspections, tests performed and work executed.
• Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists and monitor start‑up, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review RFIs and variance requests from contractors and provide recommendations for resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years experience in laboratory materials testing and field inspection, preferably on roads and bridge projects.
• Middle East experience preferred.
• RTA/DCL approval is a plus.
