Mathematics Teacher & Department Coordinator (Years 7‑9)

About the role

Oxford School Dubai is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to lead the Years 7‑9 curriculum while coordinating the entire mathematics department. The role combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership to drive academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mathematics department, modelling best practice in teaching and curriculum implementation.
• Monitor student achievement and teacher effectiveness, handling operational, budgeting and record‑keeping duties.
• Ensure fair and effective assessment procedures across the department.
• Promote innovation in mathematics instruction and provide enrichment opportunities for gifted learners.
• Oversee out‑of‑hours mathematics‑related learning activities.
• Encourage the integration of ICT tools in appropriate mathematics lessons.
• Plan and support professional learning pathways for faculty members.
• Represent the department in curriculum team meetings.
• Organise regular faculty meetings, publish agendas and record minutes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Mathematics Coordinator.
• 5‑8 years of teaching experience in the UAE.
• Proven ability to lead a department and manage budgets and records.
• Commitment to continuous innovation and enrichment for high‑achieving students.

Required skills

• ICT proficiency for classroom integration.
