MDM Application Engineer (Stibo STEP)

About the role

Damen Shipyards Group is building a data‑powered enterprise and needs a hands‑on MDM Application Engineer to strengthen its Master Data Management capability. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will work within the Data & AI department to configure, develop, and continuously improve the Stibo STEP platform, ensuring master data serves as a reliable foundation for operational excellence, analytics, and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance the MDM platform to meet business needs.
• Configure and maintain Stibo STEP workflows, business rules, and validation logic.
• Provide ongoing support and drive continuous improvement of data quality, governance, and standardisation.
• Collaborate closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Implement integration solutions with enterprise systems and ensure seamless data flow.
• Monitor platform performance and resolve technical issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Master Data Management or related data‑engineer roles.
• Hands‑on experience in asset‑intensive industries such as manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction, marine, offshore, energy or utilities.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Proven track record of delivering platform enhancements and process improvements.
