Mechanic – Hotel Facilities Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our hotel facilities team in Business Bay, Dubai. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and pool heating systems.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and safely operate hand and power tools.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves; use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and communicate shift handovers using approved systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering computer programs for MEP systems.
• Perform complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with local and national codes.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Advanced knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and safety standards.
• Experience in hotel or large‑facility environments is preferred.
