Mechanical Engineer – Site (DM Projects)

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the supervision team for a DM Sewerage System project in Dubai. The role involves overseeing mechanical works on pumping stations and force‑main infrastructure, ensuring design, construction and site activities meet project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the design, construction and commissioning of mechanical works, including pumping stations and force‑main systems.
• Perform surge analysis and related site tasks, providing prompt emergency response across Dubai locations.
• Coordinate with Dubai Municipality and other stakeholders to align project activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and drawings using drafting software.
• Engage with the public and address queries related to the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in supervision of similar mechanical projects.
• Extensive experience in design, construction and supervision of pumping stations and force‑main infrastructure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
