Mechanical Project Engineer – Luxury Hotel Development

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the mechanical works for a luxury hotel development in North Africa. The role will be based on the site office, coordinating with subcontractors, fit‑out teams and specialist vendors to ensure high‑quality, fast‑track delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical activities including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, LPG and medical gas installations.
• Coordinate sequencing and quality with mechanical subcontractors and interface with fit‑out, joinery and interior‑design contractors.
• Review and approve shop drawings, coordination drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Attend daily coordination meetings, monitor progress, report risks and prepare progress reports.
• Manage procurement of long‑lead items and ensure timely material deliveries.
• Liaise with manufacturers for installation, testing, commissioning and technical clarifications.
• Support testing, commissioning and preparation of O&M manuals, as‑built drawings and handover documentation.
• Work closely with HSE teams to close NCRs and enforce safety procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of GCC experience on mechanical works for luxury hotel or high‑end hospitality projects.
• Proven ability to manage fast‑track, high‑value installations and to work under pressure.
• Willingness to relocate to North Africa for the project duration.
