Mechanical QC Engineer

About the role

Archirodon Construction is seeking a Mechanical QC Engineer to join its quality control team on a major project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that all mechanical works meet the highest quality standards throughout design, procurement, construction, and hand‑over phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements for mechanical works.
• Monitor design, procurement, construction, and final hand‑over activities to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Manage inspection and testing of mechanical installations, supervising QC inspectors and coordinating with third‑party testing agencies.
• Oversee the close‑out of punch lists, calibration of measurement instruments, and maintenance of all quality records.
• Witness, review, and approve welder qualifications, WPS, and PQR documents.
• Conduct statistical analysis of test data and support the resolution of non‑conformances.
• Assist the QC Manager with periodic audits of subcontractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 13 years of experience in mechanical quality control within construction or EPC projects.
• Relevant certifications such as CSWIP 3.1 or AWS‑CWI.
• Proven ability to prepare and manage ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, inspection techniques, and statistical data analysis.
