Mechanical Technician III

About the role

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician III to lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment in gas plants and industrial sites across the MEA and Africa regions. The role involves direct customer interaction, commissioning of Enerflex packages, and ensuring compliance with HSE and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of gas compressors, gas‑driven engines, gas processing equipment, and compression‑skid controls.
• Execute preventive maintenance, checklists, and ad‑hoc repairs as assigned.
• Communicate professionally with onsite customers and provide feedback to improve project performance.
• Assist customers in identifying maintenance needs and recommend solutions.
• Commission Enerflex packages throughout MEA and Africa.
• Prepare and submit PM reports, failure‑analysis documentation, and other required paperwork.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and uphold site housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE policies and all relevant procedures.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree in a related field.
• 7‑10 years of hands‑on experience with gas‑related rotating equipment.
• Customer‑facing experience with strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Waukesha, CAT and Ariel certifications (including G3600) are advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure, coach junior staff, and travel on short notice.
