Mechanical Technician – Poultry Processing Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled, safety‑conscious Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team in Dubai. The role focuses on keeping poultry processing and packaging equipment running at peak efficiency while adhering to strict food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain a wide range of poultry processing machinery, including mixers, grinders, cutters, fryers, ovens, conveyors and packaging lines.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, lubricate parts with food‑grade lubricants, and keep accurate PM records.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns, diagnose root causes, and repair or replace motors, pumps, valves, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Ensure all work complies with HACCP, ISO 22000 and other hygiene requirements, preventing contamination during maintenance.
• Assist with installation, alignment and commissioning of new equipment, interpreting mechanical drawings and OEM manuals.
• Complete work orders, breakdown reports and spare‑parts inventory updates.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in poultry processing or food manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment from JBT, GEA, BW Flexible, Ishida and similar manufacturers.
• Familiarity with food‑grade lubricants, preventive‑maintenance programs and hygiene standards.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals and OEM documentation.
