Medical Coding Specialist – ICD-10-CM & CPT

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialist to join our team in Dubai. The role focuses on accurate coding of patient diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT and other classification systems, while ensuring compliance with DHA and JCI standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ICD-10-CM, CPT and other coding for patient diseases.
• Execute highly technical medical coding functions for the Vertical and DHA Authority.
• Review, analyse and code diagnostic and procedural information with near-zero errors.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, DHA policies, regulations and JCI accreditation requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology to correctly code services and diagnoses.
• Handle claims submissions efficiently within defined time frames.
• Achieve daily targets for claims processing and avoid rejections.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with DHA policies, JCI accreditation guidelines and medical coding standards.
• Ability to maintain high accuracy and meet daily processing targets.
