Medical Laboratory Technologist (UAE National)

About the role

The Molecular Biology & Genomics Centre (MBG) in Dubai is seeking a qualified UAE National Medical Laboratory Technologist. The role involves performing routine and molecular laboratory tests, maintaining sample integrity, and supporting method validation within a clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing, sample processing, and molecular biology procedures.
• Handle and maintain clinical and biological samples according to SOPs and safety requirements.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, documentation, and quality‑control records.
• Follow laboratory quality, biosafety, and accreditation requirements.
• Support validation, verification, and implementation of new laboratory methods.
• Monitor reagents, consumables, and inventory levels.
• Report technical issues and non‑conformities to the supervisor.
• Assist daily laboratory operations and assigned projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or a related field.
• Valid DHA license/eligibility as a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, sample handling, molecular biology, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and adhere to SOPs, quality and safety standards.
