Medical Science Liaison

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison will enhance physicians' awareness of Allergan’s portfolio across the UAE, sharing scientific data, providing training, and supporting appropriate prescribing practices. This field‑based position involves extensive interaction with healthcare professionals and travel throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to educate doctors on Allergan products and present supporting scientific evidence.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director, UAE, to define priorities and develop a Medical Affairs plan.
• Identify key researchers and physicians, organize national, regional, and local scientific activities.
• Present Allergan’s scientific perspective at stakeholder meetings and capture feedback.
• Maintain relationships with physicians, administrators, and the broader medical community.
• Stay current on scientific developments locally, regionally, and globally, attending relevant medical congresses.
• Work with the commercial team to deliver training and influence prescribing behavior.

Required profile

• Science degree (B Pharm, Nursing, Pharm D, MSc or PhD) required.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Prior commercial or sales experience in pharma, or an MBA, is highly desirable.
• Experience in clinical research, including phase IV studies, is a plus.

Required skills

• Ability to quickly learn and convey complex clinical and non‑clinical information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining professional relationships.
