MEP Commissioning Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The MEP Commissioning Engineer will lead the commissioning of integrated mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for large‑scale projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring system readiness, performance testing and successful handover to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare discipline‑specific commissioning plans, schedules, method statements and test procedures.
• Lead and supervise commissioning engineers and technicians during testing, start‑up and energisation activities.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning, functional, performance and reliability testing for HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, BMS, ELV, LV, lighting control and utility systems.
• Review and approve commissioning documentation, test reports, punch lists and system readiness trackers.
• Troubleshoot commissioning failures and manage corrective actions with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards and local authority regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or related engineering discipline.
• 5–8 years of commissioning experience on large MEP, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading commissioning teams and coordinating with clients, consultants and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements, PTW and LOTO procedures.
