MEP Design Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and specialist systems design for a landmark residential community in Dubai. The role combines technical leadership with stakeholder coordination to ensure high‑quality, safe and profitable delivery aligned with programme and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the MEP design process across all project stages, ensuring programme, quality and commercial objectives are met.
• Facilitate collaboration between consultants, project teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Monitor design progress, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Review design deliverables for compliance with client requirements, local authority regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces between MEP, architectural, structural and infrastructure teams.
• Lead design workshops, value‑engineering studies and technical review meetings.
• Manage design risks, change‑control processes and design‑assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, operators and authorities to secure design approvals.

Required profile

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Proven experience leading MEP design teams on large‑scale residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong understanding of local UAE regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency and net‑zero objectives.
