MEP Project Engineer – HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Systems

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled MEP Project Engineer to lead HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting systems on construction projects in Dubai. The role involves technical design, coordination with contractors and consultants, and ensuring compliance with health‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical drawings, interpret specifications and define mechanical requirements.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, obtain approvals from consultants and main contractors.
• Verify HAP heat‑load calculations, perform ESP fan calculations and pump‑head sizing.
• Coordinate site activities with the main contractor and project manager, manage manpower and material availability.
• Supervise installation of chilled‑water piping, ductwork, water supply, drainage, and equipment such as chillers, FAHU, fans, pumps and FCU.
• Handle RFIs, resolve submittal issues and ensure quality assurance of all mechanical components.
• Maintain compliance with health‑safety regulations and project budget and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in MEP projects, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven project‑management experience and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Valid driver’s licence.
