MEP/FPS Engineer – Substation Fire Protection

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP/FPS Engineer to coordinate fire protection and mechanical works for substation projects in Dubai. The role involves supervising installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection systems in line with approved drawings and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of fire fighting piping (MS, GI, HDPE) and sprinkler, hydrant, and hose reel systems.
• Oversee fire pump installation (main, jockey, diesel) and fire alarm system deployment.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications and relevant standards.
• Manage testing, commissioning and documentation of FPS systems for consultant approval.
• Monitor daily site activities, manpower productivity and coordinate with civil and other MEP teams to avoid clashes.
• Assist in fire alarm testing and system integration.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MEP and fire protection system installation on substation sites.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.
• Strong coordination skills with civil and other MEP disciplines.
