Middle East Tax Manager

About the role

The Middle East Tax Manager will lead tax compliance, accounting and advisory activities for KBR’s operations across the region. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role partners with Finance, Legal, Treasury and Business Development teams to provide practical tax guidance on contracts, transactions and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage direct and indirect tax matters, including VAT, across all Middle East jurisdictions.
• Provide tax advice on proposals, contract reviews, acquisitions, restructurings and other business projects.
• Prepare and review quarterly tax provisions and related accounting under U.S. GAAP, including uncertain tax position documentation.
• Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to maintain tax‑related internal controls and support financial reporting.
• Oversee preparation, filing and compliance of local tax returns.
• Lead tax audits, inquiries and disputes in collaboration with external advisors and tax authorities.
• Support regional initiatives such as BEPS Pillar Two and e‑invoicing requirements.

Required profile

• Professional experience in tax compliance, accounting and advisory within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Middle East tax regulations, VAT and international tax principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply U.S. GAAP to tax provisions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with cross‑functional teams.
