Mobile Development Lead – iOS, Android & Flutter

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Mobile Development Lead to own the technical direction, quality and delivery of our native and cross‑platform mobile applications in Dubai. In this player‑coach role you will line‑manage a team of five or more engineers while continuing to write production code yourself.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and line‑manage a team of 5+ mobile engineers across iOS, Android and Flutter.
• Own capacity planning, estimation, hiring and upskilling.
• Deliver complex features, technical spikes and production fixes (40‑60% coding).
• Define and maintain mobile architecture, modularisation, dependency management and shared component libraries.
• Select and enforce design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Repository, DI, BLoC, Riverpod, Provider).
• Ensure non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, memory, battery, offline behaviour, accessibility and app‑store compliance.
• Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, manage branching, release strategy and test coverage thresholds.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline for automated builds, signing, testing, distribution and staged rollouts.
• Champion AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and establish guardrails for their use.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on mobile development experience with iOS, Android and Flutter.
• Demonstrated leadership of a mobile engineering team (5+ members).
• Experience delivering trading or capital‑markets applications is a strong advantage.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and drive architectural standards.
