Multi Skilled Technician – Engineering & Maintenance

About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Technician supports daily engineering operations at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, a Forbes Five‑Star luxury hotel. You will ensure that all hotel facilities remain safe, reliable and maintained to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general building services.
• Conduct regular inspections, testing and basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance in guestrooms, public areas, meeting rooms, back‑of‑house areas and engineering plant rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, resolving issues with minimal disruption.
• Attend equipment breakdowns and emergencies, escalating major problems to the Engineering Supervisor or Manager.
• Execute basic repairs to fixtures, furniture, lighting, plumbing, air‑conditioning, doors and other building elements.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment issues and completed repairs.
• Follow Hilton, health‑and‑safety, fire‑life safety and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Support engineering projects, inspections, contractors and hotel initiatives as required.

• Technical knowledge of building services and ability to respond quickly to maintenance requests.
• Professional communication skills with guests, colleagues and other departments.
• Ability to work safely in a hotel environment and follow all safety procedures.
