Music Teacher - Primary

About the role

The Westminster School in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Primary Music Teacher to deliver the music curriculum to young learners. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the school’s co‑curricular activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the primary music curriculum, ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge of subject matter.
• Plan and deliver quality lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Maintain records of curriculum plans, attendance, resources, and assessments.
• Follow GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Teach students with varying needs, including ESL, low academic ability, and gifted learners.
• Set, mark, assess, and report on student work.
• Utilise media and technology effectively in the classroom.
• Promote student well‑being, cultural awareness, and a love of learning.
• Participate in and lead co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes.
• Communicate regularly with parents, respecting confidentiality.
• Contribute to school events, staff meetings, and committees.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in music.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching primary‑level students is preferred.
