Music Teacher - Primary

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate music lessons to primary‑phase students in Dubai. You will inspire pupils to explore rhythm, melody, harmony and a wide range of musical styles while fostering confidence in both solo and ensemble performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative music lessons covering notation, dynamics, composition, improvisation and listening.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students.
• Utilise a variety of instruments, music technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records and provide constructive feedback.
• Organise and support school concerts, assemblies, choirs, bands and other extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with class teachers and specialists to integrate music across the curriculum.
• Contribute to curriculum development and share best practices with colleagues.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree or equivalent in Music, Music Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching music to primary‑aged pupils.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
