About the role
At Etihad Airways, the Navigation Engineer will develop and maintain advanced navigation solutions that enhance flight efficiency, safety and support network growth. Working closely with flight operations, finance, network planning and safety teams, you will help optimise fuel consumption and ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct fuel and payload analyses to identify efficiency opportunities and support sustainability targets.
- Develop, validate and publish safety‑critical navigation procedures, including terrain and obstacle avoidance guidance.
- Assess airports, destinations and alternate aerodromes for operational suitability and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain aeronautical charting and create Performance‑Based Navigation (PBN) procedures and specialised routing solutions.
- Participate in simulator validation sessions and provide fuel valuation forecasts for budgeting.
Required profile
- Strong analytical background with experience in aviation operations or engineering.
- In‑depth knowledge of international aviation regulatory frameworks and standards.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment and solve complex technical challenges.
