NDT Technician – Trainee (UAE National)

About the role

The role is a trainee position for a Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician, aimed at UAE nationals. The successful candidate will receive on‑the‑job training in accordance with SNT‑TC‑1A standards and progress to Level II after gaining sufficient on‑site experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT) and Eddy Current Testing (ET) on components, pipework and structural assemblies.
• Ensure the work area is safe, carry out risk assessments and adhere to Oceaneering and client safety policies.
• Conduct routine equipment and consumable checks, reporting any issues to supervision.
• Evaluate test results against applicable specifications and produce clear, concise inspection reports.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and follow all relevant operating procedures and statutory requirements.
• Comply with Oceaneering Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality (HSSEQ) Management Systems and support environmental sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• UAE national eligible for the trainee programme.
• Willingness to undertake NDT training per SNT‑TC‑1A and progress to Level II.
• Ability to work safely in industrial environments and follow detailed procedures.
• Commitment to quality, safety and environmental standards.
