Neonatology Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Consultant in Neonatology to join our team at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering expert neonatal care, overseeing patient rounds in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and ensuring high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional neonatology services, including daily rounds in the NICU and care of newborns.
• Continuously build and share clinical knowledge, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify client (patient and family) needs, respond to concerns promptly, and keep them informed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical procedures and guidelines.
• Report non‑compliance issues and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver services with energy, focus, and a positive attitude, even under pressure.
• Foster positive working relationships, manage conflicts calmly, and respect diverse perspectives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialization in neonatology and appropriate licensing for the UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and capacity to handle sensitive situations.
• Commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.
