Network Operations Controller

About the role

The Network Operations Controller ensures regulatory compliance for foreign aircraft operating approvals across Etihad Airways' fleet. The role supports continuous operations by managing charter projects, ad‑hoc aircraft events and new aircraft introductions while safeguarding safety and schedule integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain effective liaison with local and international aviation authorities for all FAOP/FAOC/DG/LVO applications and renewals.
• Monitor and interpret international regulator standards to guarantee ongoing compliance.
• Review ACMI operation approvals, coordinate with lessors, and secure required documentation for regulator sign‑off.
• Keep the permissions database up‑to‑date, ensuring every aircraft is authorised for its destinations.
• Support charter flight reviews, coordinate contracted charter operations, and oversee safety and customer satisfaction.
• Organise ad‑hoc operational events such as fly‑pasts and static displays.
• Collaborate with the technical department on the EIS program for newly delivered aircraft to ensure smooth operational handover.
• Assist Operations Planning in new station start‑ups and related readiness activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in the airline industry.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and approval processes.
• Project‑management experience is an advantage.
