Network & Security Engineer

About the role

Alpha Data is looking for a skilled Network & Security Engineer to join its Managed Services NOC in Dubai. You will provide 24/7 operations and break‑fix support for multiple enterprise clients while delivering small‑scale network and security projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 technical support and incident management, maintaining strict SLAs for external clients.
• Isolate, troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues across multi‑vendor environments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and document findings.
• Plan, configure and execute small‑to‑medium network and security projects, migrations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to transition new client environments into NOC operations.
• Assess client infrastructures for vulnerabilities, coordinate patching, firmware upgrades and hardening.
• Maintain and optimise firewall policies, security profiles and ACLs.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date topology diagrams, HLD/LLD documentation and SOPs.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change and configuration management.
• Act as primary technical contact for clients during critical incidents, providing clear updates.

Required profile

• 6‑7 years of experience in network routing, switching and security engineering.
• Strong customer‑handling and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced NOC environment and follow ITIL service‑management practices.

Required skills

• Cisco and Aruba routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, VxLAN).
• Next‑generation firewalls: Cisco Firepower, Meraki, Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer), Palo Alto Networks (Strata, Panorama), Checkpoint (Quantum, SmartConsole).
• SD‑WAN and SASE deployment experience.
• Vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
• ITIL service‑management framework.
