NICU Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate NICU Nurse to join UAE Hospitals’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In this role you will provide specialized care to critically ill newborns and support their families during a vital period.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the health status of newborns in the NICU.
• Provide direct nursing care and interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and oxygen saturation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care.
• Educate and support families on newborn care and medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in continuing education and training.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in NICU nursing.
• Specialized knowledge of newborn care and development.
• Strong understanding of NICU protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
