Night Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing all front‑desk and guest‑service operations during the night shift at a luxury resort. This role ensures smooth check‑ins, accurate billing, and prompt resolution of guest requests while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete designated cashier and closing reports using the property management system.
• Review shift logs and daily memos, documenting pertinent information.
• Coordinate with bellpersons, housekeeping, and other departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Process guest check‑ins: verify reservations, confirm identity, collect payment, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
• Sell available rooms to walk‑in guests, ensuring rates align with market codes and documenting exceptions.
• Scan and charge outlet checks (e.g., health club, retail) to guest rooms.
• Assist management with training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating staff.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette and maintain positive working relationships.
• Perform physical duties such as standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 25 lb.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in hospitality.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
