Nursing Director - Oncology

About the role

The Nursing Director will lead the newly established Cancer Center’s nursing division, shaping strategy, commissioning services and ensuring operational excellence across all oncology nursing functions. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on operational oversight, guaranteeing world‑class cancer care in partnership with international experts from the US and UK.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, commissioning and operational readiness of the Cancer Nursing Directorate.
• Build, mentor and expand oncology nursing teams, fostering professional growth and capability for a staff of 200+ nurses.
• Design and implement policies, care pathways, procedures and education programmes aligned with global cancer‑care standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Chair of Oncology (US), Director of Oncology (UK) and senior hospital leadership.
• Drive patient safety, evidence‑based practice, transformation initiatives and a culture of excellence.
• Support research initiatives, multidisciplinary programmes and continuous quality improvement.
• Integrate the organisation’s health culture with the new Cancer Center and make balanced, fair decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 + years of experience in oncology nursing, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience commissioning oncology units and managing large nursing teams (200+ staff).
• Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices, clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in staff development, mentoring and interdisciplinary team leadership.
• Track record of implementing strategic initiatives and quality‑improvement programmes.
