Occupational Therapist – Dubai

About the role

The Specialty Hospital Dubai is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred occupational therapy services to individuals with complex medical conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including complex cases, using advanced investigative and analytical techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence in activities of daily living, provide appropriate assistive devices, and perform seating assessments.
• Review and adjust treatment programmes at each session to meet therapeutic objectives.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients, families and carers on therapy goals, device usage and home‑based strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and produce reports in line with MOH regulations.
• Participate in case conferences, handovers and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Commit to continuous professional development and uphold clinical governance standards.

Required profile

• Professional registration with the UAE Ministry of Health (MOH) and eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while adhering to high clinical standards.
• Strong communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural, religious and language differences.
• Commitment to documentation, risk management and ongoing CPD.
