Operations Readiness And Assurance Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, systems, personnel and processes are fully prepared for safe, efficient and reliable start‑up and operations for a high‑profile client in the oil and gas sector. The role bridges project delivery and asset operations, guaranteeing a seamless handover to ADNOC Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an Operations Readiness & Assurance (OR&A) plan, defining readiness criteria aligned with ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate and lead OR&A stage‑gate reviews across project phases, verifying readiness before progression.
• Provide operational input during design reviews, ensuring operability, maintainability and safety are embedded.
• Prepare and validate operating, maintenance and emergency procedures, and ensure all documentation meets ADNOC standards.
• Lead training and competency programmes for operations personnel, including classroom, on‑the‑job and simulator‑based sessions.
• Manage systems and asset readiness, conduct pre‑start‑up safety reviews and support handover to operations teams.

Required profile

• Degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM projects, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or preservation role.
• Experience on major CAPEX projects, preferably with ADNOC or equivalent operators.
• Strong understanding of operations‑readiness frameworks, commissioning and start‑up processes, and asset lifecycle management.

• Completion and commissioning tools such as WinPCS, ICAPS and GoTechnology
• Interpretation of P&IDs and process flow diagrams
