Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Operations Supervisor will lead the catering operations team at Emirates Flight Catering, ensuring that all flight‑to‑flight services meet airline standards and security requirements. This role involves close coordination with airline representatives, staff training, and continuous improvement of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate assigned staff, providing training and guidance to achieve operational objectives.
• Liaise with airline representatives on catering uplift, passenger figures, and additional service requests.
• Prepare and distribute catering order forms to all relevant sections.
• Ensure loading and off‑loading procedures comply with airline, company, and airport security policies.
• Conduct spot‑checks on the operations floor and ramp to verify food and equipment standards.
• Review checklists and documentation, securing signatures before forwarding to Accounts.
• Maintain high‑quality service through cost‑effective management and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement corrective actions from incident investigations.
• Enforce safe working practices in line with EKFC policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor daily resource allocation and communicate briefings and shift handovers to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in flight operations, food packing, or logistics, preferably within airline catering.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Proven ability to conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies or certification (preferred).
