Operations Technician

About the role

The Operations Technician supports the deployment and maintenance of SANS network and audio‑visual systems for live training events across the META region. The role combines on‑site event support with day‑to‑day IT service responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in setting up network infrastructure (routers, managed switches, wireless access points, controllers) for training events.
• Install, configure, and maintain audio‑visual equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and video‑conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams Rooms, and Webex.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support for hardware, software, and systems, troubleshooting Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and endpoint devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and device imaging via Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Perform LAN/WAN and Wi‑Fi network troubleshooting, monitor performance, and support network hardware.
• Execute routine system maintenance, apply patches, monitor security alerts, and ensure backup processes.
• Log and resolve tickets using ITSM tools, meet SLAs, and coordinate with external vendors.

Required profile

• Technical background with experience in event‑based AV and network support.
• Ability to work onsite across multiple locations in the META region.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for live‑event troubleshooting.
