Parts Picker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Parts Picker to join our warehouse team at Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory in Abu Dhabi. The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing automotive parts to retail and workshop counters while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, organize and distribute automotive parts to retail and workshop counters.
• Read and interpret parts orders, shipping orders and requisitions to identify items for picking.
• Sort and place parts on racks, shelves and bins according to product code, type or size.
• Transport parts from receiving areas to designated storage or distribution locations.
• Pick, assemble and pack customer and workshop orders accurately.
• Label, mark and secure packed orders for dispatch.
• Open bales, crates and cartons using appropriate tools.
• Record quantities received and dispatched, weigh and count parts to ensure accuracy.
• Enter and update inventory movements in computer systems.
• Operate a forklift safely within the warehouse where authorized.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work area.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse, stores, automotive parts, logistics or inventory environment.
• Diploma in Material Management or a related field is preferred.
• Good understanding of warehouse and stores operations.
• Ability to read and understand parts orders and related documents.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (authorized).
• Use of inventory management software and computer systems for stock tracking.
• Knowledge of parts receiving, storage, picking, packing and distribution processes.
