Pastry Chef De Partie – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef De Partie to lead the pastry section at our luxury hotel. The role involves creating high-quality pastries, desserts and cakes while maintaining consistency and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and production of the assigned pastry section.
• Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes and baked products according to recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, portioning and presentation.
• Organise and maintain proper mise en place for smooth service.
• Supervise, guide and support Commis Chefs and junior team members.
• Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, storage and handling.
• Assist with banquet, event, buffet and special occasion pastry requirements.
• Minimise food wastage and support cost-control practices.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, sanitation and HACCP compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in a similar pastry role, preferably in a 5-star luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of pastry production, baking techniques and cake preparation.
• Ability to supervise and guide junior culinary team members.
• Excellent attention to detail, presentation and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Culinary or Pastry qualification from a recognised institution is preferred.
