About the role
The Patient Administrator supports the delivery of high‑quality patient care at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital by handling appointment scheduling, registration, insurance processing and billing. This full‑time, onsite position ensures smooth administrative operations and excellent patient service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage patient appointment scheduling and registration processes.
- Handle medical insurance procedures and related administrative tasks.
- Oversee billing and cash‑up activities.
- Consistently meet customer service expectations by improving patient service quality.
Required profile
- Completed secondary school education (Grade 12) – essential.
- Tertiary Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in medical science, finance or accounting – desired.
- 2–3 years of experience in a customer‑service role, preferably within healthcare – essential.
- Experience in a contact‑centre or healthcare environment – desired.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience using CRM (customer relationship management) software.
- Familiarity with hospital information systems.
