Patient Relations Executive

About the role

The Patient Relations Executive ensures smooth registration, admission and front‑desk operations for patients at American Hospital Dubai. Acting as receptionist, cashier and interpreter, the role supports both internal staff and external customers to meet service expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Register new patients, verify identification, collect insurance details and enter all data accurately into Cerner.
• Handle cash transactions, issue receipts, and generate cashier reports using MyCare.
• Schedule, book, transfer and cancel appointments, providing clear instructions to walk‑in and new patients.
• Liaise with Insurance and Finance departments to process claims, verify coverage and resolve outstanding balances.
• Answer phone calls courteously, maintain telephone etiquette and provide information to prospective patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized reception area, reporting any equipment, safety or security issues.
• Address patient complaints promptly and coordinate with the Clinic Manager or PRR Coordinator.
• Assist in orientating new staff and ensure up‑to‑date knowledge of hospital services, prices and operating hours.

Required profile

• High School Graduate.
• Excellent English and Arabic verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with customer service principles and prior cashier duties preferred.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.

Required skills

• Cerner – patient registration and data entry system.
• iConnect System – computer literacy for hospital operations.
• MyCare – billing and cash handling system.
