PAUT Inspector

About the role

The PAUT Inspector will support Bureau Veritas in delivering high‑quality non‑destructive testing services for oil and gas projects across offshore and onshore sites. The role involves performing ultrasonic and phased‑array inspections, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on pipelines, structures, and equipment.
• Interpret test results, document findings, and produce detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams during commissioning and maintenance phases.
• Ensure all inspections meet ASNT Level‑II, SNT‑TC‑1A, ISO 9712, and relevant client specifications.
• Maintain calibration records and adhere to safety and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas projects, both offshore and onshore.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency for technical documentation.
• Computer literate with familiarity of industry codes and standards.

Required skills

• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
• NDT certification – ASNT Level‑II, SNT‑TC‑1A, ISO 9712.
• CSWIP/AWS welding certification.
• Knowledge of ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, and BS codes.
