Pediatric Critical Care Doctor

About the role

Millennium Hospital UAE is looking for a qualified Pediatric Critical Care Doctor to join its intensive care unit in Mussafah. The role involves delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care to critically ill children in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds, comprehensive examinations and advanced interventions for high‑acuity patients.
• Stabilize emergencies by diagnosing and managing acute respiratory failure, sepsis, shock and traumatic injuries.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including PICU nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and subspecialists.
• Communicate prognosis, treatment plans and goals of care to families with empathy.
• Supervise and train medical students, residents and fellows; contribute to quality‑improvement projects and clinical research.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent training in pediatric critical care.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high‑stress, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and sensitivity when interacting with families.

Required skills

• Intubation and airway management.
• Mechanical ventilation setup and monitoring.
• Central line insertion and maintenance.
• Management of acute respiratory failure, sepsis, shock and trauma in children.
