Pediatric Specialist

About the role

The Pediatric Specialist will provide high‑quality clinical care to children within the Abu Dhabi Region hospital network. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, the role combines direct patient management with support for departmental initiatives and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric patients according to best‑practice standards.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients regularly, and document clinical information promptly.
• Supervise junior medical staff and share responsibility for their patient care.
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings, liaise with other specialties, and ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, audit activities, and incident reporting within the division.
• Promote and engage in clinical research and publication activities.

Required profile

• Qualified medical professional with specialist training in pediatrics.
• Experience in a hospital setting, including inpatient and outpatient care.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and multidisciplinary collaboration.
