About the role

The Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program Coordinator – Burns will support the Operations Manager and Chair of Burns in developing, implementing and evaluating the burn program’s quality and safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Participate in quality management and performance improvement activities, including identifying patient care issues, conducting chart reviews and collecting data.
Monitor, review and analyse data from the burn registry and other reports.
Assist in developing and revising administrative policies and clinical nursing guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Support departmental meetings, conferences and workshops to represent the Burn Center and extend learning.
Update the Burns PIPS program annually and provide technical expertise for program development.
Facilitate cross‑functional performance improvement teams, design communication materials and coordinate presentations.
Participate in case reviews, track action plans and help design practice guidelines.
