Permit Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Permit Coordinator to manage the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) process for daily construction activities on our EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all permits are correctly prepared, authorized, displayed and closed, supporting safe execution of work in oil & gas, petrochemical and industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the PTW process for all site activities, reviewing permit applications, JSA/RA, method statements and work scopes.
• Verify required isolations, gas testing, barricading, PPE and other permit controls before work starts.
• Maintain the permit register, track status, extensions and closures, and ensure compliance with ADNOC PTW requirements and Life‑Saving Rules.
• Manage simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), identify potential conflicts and conduct site checks to confirm permit conditions.
• Support toolbox talks, safety briefings, shift handovers and PTW audits, ensuring corrective actions are closed.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in Permit Coordination/PTW within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC or industrial projects.
• Diploma/ITI or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE or related field.
• Strong knowledge of PTW, JSA/RA, LOTO, isolation, gas testing and SIMOPS.
• Familiarity with hot‑work, confined‑space, excavation, lifting, electrical and mechanical permits.
• Excellent communication, documentation and computer skills; ADNOC PTW competency preferred.
