Petrophysics Specialist

About the role

The Specialist Petrophysics will lead the collection, analysis and evaluation of petrophysical data to support hydrocarbon reserve calculations and reservoir studies for ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and execute interpretation of petrophysical data to determine hydrocarbon presence, quality, fluid contacts and rock properties.
• Review analytical reports, query anomalies and ensure consistency of petrophysical well data.
• Oversee quality assessment and control of all received log and core data, including SCAL program preparation, monitoring and QC.
• Identify sources of error, reconcile SCAL data from multiple contractors and ensure data compatibility.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, scope‑of‑work definition and technical tender evaluations for petrophysical studies.
• Monitor and QC work of external consultants to guarantee accuracy and adherence to contracts.
• Prepare and quality‑check reports, integrate petrophysical findings into team decisions on well completion, casing depths and related engineering aspects.
• Support well proposal definition and selection of appropriate logging tool strings.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading petrophysical data interpretation projects.
• Ability to mentor and develop less experienced staff.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data quality and consistency.
