Pharmacist – Full‑Time (Dubai)

About the role

NMC Healthcare is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team in Dubai. The role involves full professional authority over pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication management for both inpatient and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory of medicines, supplies, and equipment; report shortages promptly.
• Review and interpret prescriptions, provide patient counseling, and clarify abnormalities with prescribers.
• Inspect wards, clinics, and pharmacy storage for outdated or deteriorated stock.
• Conduct drug utilization and administration evaluations, and perform internal quality reviews.
• Manage crash cart medications, including controlled substances, and keep related registers.
• Answer drug‑related inquiries from physicians, dentists, and nurses; refer complex issues to the chief pharmacist.
• Assist in training new pharmacy staff under the direction of the chief pharmacist.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, complying with infection control and environmental safety procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex written instructions.
• Strong knowledge of professional pharmacy practice, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Capability to analyse drug‑related medical problems.
• Skill in preparing sterile products.
