Physical Education Teacher – Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School (AY 2026/27)

About the role

We are seeking an outstanding Physical Education Teacher to join Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School for the Academic Year 2026/27. The role involves delivering inspiring, inclusive PE lessons and contributing to the school’s vision of a sustainable, innovative learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Physical Education lessons that inspire students and meet curriculum requirements.
• Plan and prepare sessions for the full ability range, using resources and displays to create a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using the Target Tracker system and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech therapists and educational psychologists.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (or related) with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is an additional language.
• Commitment to the whole‑child approach, extra‑curricular involvement and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Clean enhanced DBS/Police check and willingness to reside in the Emirate of the school.
