Physical Education Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to cover maternity leave at Mamoura British Academy, Abu Dhabi, for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The role covers Nursery through Year 13 within a British‑curriculum school that values innovative and sustainable learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned PE lessons that cater to the full ability range and inspire student achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and assess lessons, manage resources, and contribute to departmental events.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, support pastoral care as a form tutor, and uphold the school’s behaviour policy.
• Assess student progress using the school’s assessment system, analyse data to inform planning, and provide feedback at parent‑teacher conferences.
• Participate in extra‑curricular sports programmes and run ECAs as directed by the Head of PE.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with PGCE or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably across the UK National Curriculum.
• Proven ability to teach the full age range from Nursery to Year 13.
• Experience in international school environments is desirable.
• Commitment to professional development and resilience under pressure.
